PINK: A (LOVE) COURIER SERVICE, an art & cycling project on tour from Austin, TX, is setting up shop in Wicker Park, July 26 August 15! Visit our factory headquarters @ the St. Paul's Cultural Center to send love notes to friends, lovers, coworkers, and strangers . . . we bottle the notes and deliver them by bike all around the city!

Pink Parade Count-Down

AUSTIN, you're invited!!! Please join love couriers, love factory workers, and all of PINK AUSTIN in in marching with pink in the First Night Austin Grand Processional Parade down Congress Avenue on Dec. 31, 2006. Meet us at the corner of 9th and Congress, anytime between four and five in the afternoon. Look for sign #8. Bring your bike, if you want, and everyone you love. Wear a little pink, or a lot. Parade begins at 5:30, ends at City Hall at 7. Bicycle Carnival on 1st Street Bridge to follow.

In the weeks leading up to New Year's Eve 2006-7, a fleet of messengers--costumed in pink and traveling by bicycle--will deliver a flood of love notes thoughout the city of Austin. Those who receive love are encouraged to pass it on by visiting PINK headquarters @ 237 2nd Street, or one of our satellite locations, to schedule a subsequent delivery to those they love--and on and on . . . becoming a city-wide experiment in saturation, communication, and contagion made manifest through mediated acts of love. All who send and receive (pink) love are invited to march with PINK in the First Night Austin Grand Processional down Congress Avenue & join in the fantastical late-night Bicycle Carnival on the First Avenue Bridge, co-created by Bikes Across Borders/Cycle Circus Austin.
